'Release-Release-Release-Release'...Why did you recruit four people in a row? Even if one succeeds, the cost-effectiveness is the best

The Kiwoom Heroes recruited Oh Sun-jin (35), an infielder who played for the Lotte Giants and was released this year. Kiwoom signed Oh Sun-jin's contract for the 2025 season with an annual salary of 40 million won at the team's office in Gocheok Sky Dome, Seoul on Thursday.

Oh Sun-jin is the fourth player released by other teams after infielder Kang Jin-seong, outfielder Kim Dong-yup and pitcher Jang Pil-jun. Oh and Jang signed contracts for an annual salary of 40 million won for next year. Kang and Kim Dong-yup have yet to be disclosed, which would be similar to 40 million won. They have invested around 160 million won in recruiting four players. If only one player succeeds, it will be okay for the team's cost-effectiveness. 온라인바카라

Oh joined Hanwha as the 26th overall pick in the fourth round of the second round of the 2008 draft. He played for Hanwha until 2020, before moving to Samsung in a one-on-one trade with Samsung outfielder Lee Seong-gon in June of the 2021 season. After the 2022 season, Oh became an FA, and returned to his former team, Hanwha, through a free agent contract for up to 400 million won per year. In the 2023 season, Oh played in 90 games and recorded a batting average of 230 (38 hits in 165 times at bat) with 14 RBIs and 17 scores.

However, he transferred to Lotte in the second draft at the end of the season. Lotte tried to recruit Oh Sun-jin, a veteran player, to use him as an infield backup, but as young players grew older, Oh had few chances to play in the game, and was released after posting a batting average of .20 (four hits in 20 at-bats) in 26 games. Oh played in 1,135 games in the KBO league with a batting average of .241 (633 hits in 2,632 at-bats), 18 homers, 229 RBIs, 275 runs, 49 steals, and OPS of .609.

"Oh Sun-jin is a utility player who can play all infield positions, and has stable defense and compliance with operational capabilities," Kiwoom said. "I expect him to play an important role as a backup infielder based on his diverse experience and skill. It will also be of great help to run the fielders next season."

After signing the contract, Oh Sun-jin said, "I'm happy to continue my baseball life in the Kiwoom Heroes. As I received a new opportunity, I want to repay you with good results. As it is a dynamic team with many young players, I will do my best to actively communicate with my teammates and help the team."

Kiwoom has no free agent recruitment during the off-season, and has also reduced recruitment costs for foreign players. They have yet to renew contracts with proven 10-win pitchers such as Furado and Heysus. They have acquired foreign batters Yasiel Puig (total of 1 million dollars), Ruben Kadinez (max of 800,000 dollars), and foreign pitcher Kenny Rosenberg (max of 800,000 dollars).

Kiwoom has many young players in its squad and tends to give many chances to promising players. If Kim Hye-sung advances to the U.S. following Lee Jung-hoo, the fielder's depth will be loose again. It seems that the team will recruit veterans to give new opportunities and harmonize with the development of young players.

Kang Jin-seong, a right-handed hitter with long hitting power, can back up to the first base. Kim Dong-yeop, who has 92 homers in his career, can back up as a big hitter, pinch hitter, and outfield. Jang Pil-joon has a lot of experience as a bullpen pitcher.

As soon as Kang was released from SSG in early October, Kiwoom quickly contacted him and decided to join Kiwoom in five days. Kang joined NC as the 33rd overall pick in the fourth round of the 2012 draft. He moved to Doosan as an FA compensation player in 2022 and was traded to SSG in the 2023 season. He had a batting average of 266 games (325 hits in 1,236) in the KBO league with 26 home runs, 155 RBIs, 145 runs and 24 steals OPS.707.

In 121 games in 2020, he had a career-high season with a batting average of 309 percent (122 hits in 395 times at bat) with 12 homers, 70 RBIs, 53 runs, and nine steals with an OPS of .814. In this year's SSG, he only had a batting average of 185, five hits in 27 times at bat, and two RBIs in 16 games.

Kim Dong-yeop and Jang Pil-joon, who are both U-turners from overseas, were released by Samsung on Nov. 1. Kim joined the team after being drafted by SK as the 86th overall pick in the ninth round of the second round of the 2016 draft. He had a batting average of 277 (109 hits in 393) in 2017, 22 homers and 70 RBIs, and a batting average of 252 (106 hits in 421 times at bat) in 2018, and 27 homers and 76 RBIs, respectively.

Kim Dong-yeop, who moved to Samsung in 2019 through the KBO's first triangular trade, played a batting average of 312 (129 hits in 451 at-bats) with 20 home runs and 74 RBIs in 115 games in 2020, but his performance has declined sharply since then. He recorded a batting average of 238 with four home runs and 24 RBIs in 69 games in 2021, a batting average of 221 with two home runs and four RBIs in 30 games in 2022, and a batting average of 255 with five home runs and 18 RBIs in 69 games in 2023. This year, he only had a batting average of 111 (2 hits in 18 at-bats) in eight games.

Jang joined Samsung as the ninth choice in the first round of the second round of the 2015 draft. During 10 seasons in the KBO league, he played 345 games (399 ⅔ innings) with 17 wins and 29 losses, 47 saves, 42 saves and an ERA of 5.29. He played as the mainstay in the Samsung bullpen, recording four wins and eight losses and 21 saves in 2017, five wins and five losses and six saves and 13 holds in 2018, and three wins and three losses and 11 saves and 15 holds in 2019. However, he has been sluggish with an ERA of over five points since 2020.

Jang recorded an earned run average of 7.91 with one win, one loss and one hold in 17 games last year. This year, he pitched in just one game in the first team and allowed five runs in ⅓ innings (135.00 ERA). He had an earned run average of "0" in six games (four ⅔ innings) in the Futures League.
